EKHAYA OUT on EWE EP on all streaming platforms: Energy Exchange Records and Dumama https://li.sten.to/exrecords-ewe There’s something about a collective homesickness, the yearning to belong, and our capacity to connect with an infinite source—an infinite-ness, and an infinite yes together. When I approached @thehempress and @wandilethirdeye with this heart-thumping groovers prayer, Ekhaya, they gave a full, wholehearted yes. I’m thrilled to share that the visualizer drops this Friday. Deep gratitude & big love to the incredible team, and to everyone who joined in creating this groovers prayer with us. Our EWE EP is out! Part of Dumama’s curatorial contributions for Embodied Temporalities festival, Oyoun Berlin.

This is a process video from an experimiental archival performance lecture hosted by Muthaship Landing and Oyoun, performed in Cape Town South Africa. The performance was an improvised process with live sampling and looping, where these two black femmes explored narritives and textures concerned with depersonalization, fragmented trajectories and the politics of transcendence. Visuals by long term collaborator Duduetsang Lamolo aka blk banaana

This is a collection of videos created, edited and collected by myself and blk banaana. We've been collecting a 8 year long archive of inspirations in our 15 year long friendship, and for every project we do individually and collectively - we curate an audio-visual performance.
